Tour Details

Bangalore (2 nights ) – Mysore (2 nights) – Mangalore (2 nights) – Hampi (3 nights).

Bangalore is the city that showed India how to party! Being known as India’s tech-and-IT hub (also known as the Indian Silicon Valley), Bangalore rarely gets much in the way of tourist traffic, which is a shame as the city has sights worth seeing, such as Bangalore Palace and Tipu Sultan’s Palace. Bangalore’s location at an altitude 3,000 feet above sea level lends it a pleasant climate (apart from during the monsoon) and walking around is the best way to explore pockets of the city, especially if you’re on a pub crawl.

Mysore, more traditionaI and reverential to its history than Bangalore, is a laid-back destination. The major attraction here is the Mysore Palace and, time permitting, a side trip to nearby Srirangapatnam to see Tipu Sultan’s palace is also recommended.

For a beach n’ sun fix, head down from the plateau to Mangalore, a city renowned for its cuisine and temples, mosques and churches from different eras.

The piece de resistance of this itinerary is Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that dates back to the 14th century. Even if you know nothing about the Viajaynagra Empire you will, nevertheless, be enchanted by the architecture the empire left behind, especially when you consider how harsh the land is.
